It is not our fault we experience suffering at times. We did not choose to be born into this world nor the environment, family, or genetics we find ourselves with. All of these were chosen for us. However, as an adult we can take responsibility for our own choices now.
Therapy offers an opportunity to be curious to learn how we have been influenced through our habits, beliefs and values. In the conversations we explore together ways to enable you to understand and gain acceptance of the complexity of being a human with a tricky brain and reactive body.
Compassion is not easy to maintain without continuous practice of skills learnt.
Making healthy changes takes courage to face challenges and gain a deeper perspective of what is really happening within you and around you. Engaging in the therapeutic process takes a commitment to deepen your self-awareness to continue your growth.

What feels helpful or harmful choices you have made in the past?
What stops you from meeting your own needs now?
Developing wisdom can be attained by being open to learning about human conditioning, early rooted messages and core beliefs, learnt behaviours, limiting or suppressing thoughts impacting your sense of self. This can alleviate the distress you continued to experience. As you come to accept it wasn’t your fault you have a tricky brain and reactive body just like every other human being you will be more curious to try out new ways of interacting, communicating and developing self-compassion and compassion for others.
